Open to youth of all skill levels with a focus on fun, fitness, friends, and physical literacy in  a developmentally appropriate environment.  

Houston offers 2 house programs, Grassroots for players in U6, U8 and U10 and Active for Life/ Recreational  for players U12, U14 and U18.  The House Programs starts when the fields are dry and ready, usually around the first week in May, and continues until end of June.  The players age goes by how old they are on Jan 1st of the current year.  Players are placed on mixed gender teams.

Equipment

Houston Youth Soccer supplies all training equipment, balls and jerseys required for the season.  The house jerseys will be collected and washed at the end of each practice, game and tournament.

Shin guards are required for all divisions, as well as cleats except for U6 where cleats are recommended. This is the players' responsibility to supply.

We are gearing up for a big year, we had our record numbers last year, and we hope to grow again this season. But we can not do this without your help! We need Volunteers to make every season a success.

*NOTE – Games can be played in Smithers, Telkwa, Houston or Hazelton for U12, U14, U18 and times could vary.

TOURNAMENTS

U6: 1 half day festival (June)

U8 & U10: 2 half day tournaments (May and June)

U12, U14 & U18: 1 full day tournament (May or June)

REFUND POLICY

100% of BVSS fee is refunded up until May 1st, after May 1st partial refunds are given in exceptional circumstances with the approval of the Board.  Processing fee will not be refunded
